The night was set, and hours upon hours of planning finally came to a head as we kicked off our first ever Whiskey Culture event hosted by Kozuba & Sons Distillery in St. Petersburg, Florida. We had food, a distillery tour, and bottles donated from all over Florida for this event. We featured delicious selections from Kozuba & Sons, including their famous “lazy old fashioned” made with their Mr. Rye whiskey. Florida Cane Distillery donated bottles for the tasting (you can see our trip to Florida Cane here), and NJoy Distillery drove over an hour from Weeki Wachee, Florida just to help us raise money for a charitable cause! We will be featuring NJoy later this week, so keep your eyes peeled. They have an incredible story that we’re sure you’d love.
We raffled off 10 different bottles donated from all over Florida. Palm Ridge Reserve sent us two bottles, along with favorites from Kozuba, Florida Cane, and St. Petersburg Distillery. They were raffled throughout the night, and tensions to win were a bit high, so we cooled things off with a full distillery tour given by our friend Katie over at Kozuba. If you’d like to see it for yourself, we recommend booking a tour, or checking out our tour and interview here.
Overall, it was an awesome night, and we hit our fundraising goal which will be donated to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children!
Thanks to all who came out! You can see more of the pictures below!
